How it works
A breast lift procedure can be performed alone or alongside a breast augmentation. This procedure can enhance the firmness and shape of the breasts while improving the breast position and appearance of excess skin. During a breast lift, excess skin and fat are removed and nipples are adjusted as needed. When increasing volume or size, an implant or fat can be placed or injected during the procedure. If a patient is receiving only a breast lift, local anesthesia and a light sedative are necessary, otherwise, the operation is performed under general anesthesia.
What to expect
After your surgery, a supportive bra is provided for you to wear for a few weeks. Swelling and bruising is normal and lessens soon after your procedure. In most cases, the majority of postoperative discomfort will be experienced in the first two days following your surgery and will steadily subside after that. Typically you will see final results within two to three months.
